Describe your dream stone. We will find it on our floor.
Say the look in plain words, or upload a photo of a stone you love. We search every slab in our Austin warehouse and show you what is actually in stock right now.
You do not need the name. Just the look.
Describe it
Say the look in your own words. “Warm cream with soft gold veining.” No stone vocabulary required, and no need to know the name.
Or use a photo
A screenshot you saved, a friend's counter, a sample in your hand. We match it against every slab on our floor.
Then come see it
Every match is a real lot in our Austin warehouse. Book a visit and stand in front of the slab before you choose.
StoneMatch searches only what is genuinely on our floor, updated live from the warehouse, across quartzite, marble, granite, dolomite, onyx, travertine, limestone, soapstone, quartz, printed quartz and porcelain. We are a wholesale distributor, so what you see is the actual slab you would come and select.
Matching stone from a photo is harder than it looks.
Natural stone is not a paint swatch. Even within one slab the veining shifts from one end to the other, and no two slabs of the same material are ever identical, so a photo of a friend’s counter or a sample chip is a starting point, never an exact target to hunt down. The same material can also carry different names depending on the supplier, the quarry lot, or which showroom sold it, so searching by name alone can send you looking for the wrong stone entirely, or miss the very slab that would have worked.
Photos distort things too, and not on purpose. Screen color shifts device to device, indoor lighting pulls a stone warm or cool, and a small photo hides scale entirely, so a busy pattern can look calm and a calm one can look busy. That is the actual problem StoneMatch is built to work around: reading past those distortions to real slabs, in stock right now, close enough to be worth the drive over.
It searches our floor, not a brochure.
Every match StoneMatch returns comes from our live inventory, the same list our own staff work from, checked against our real materials rather than a fixed catalog. It updates as slabs arrive and sell, so a result you see today reflects what is actually racked in our Austin warehouse right now, not stock that sold months ago or a stone we no longer carry.
Describe it when you have words. Upload when you have a photo.
If you already have language for it, warm cream, cool gray, heavy gold veining, a dramatic pattern, describing it in plain words is usually faster and gives StoneMatch more to work with than a single image can. Save the photo route for when you are chasing something specific: a countertop you saw in a friend’s kitchen, a sample chip from a designer, a screenshot you have been carrying around. Either way, a clear, well lit, close up shot or a specific, honest description beats a vague one, an image of the whole room from across the kitchen will tell the tool far less than a close-up of the stone itself.
Your matches are a starting point, not the finish line.
What StoneMatch gives you is a shortlist: real lots you can go stand in front of, not a stone shipped to you sight unseen. Natural material varies enough, slab to slab, that the right final call is always made in person, on our floor, under real light, next to the cabinet door or floor sample you brought with you. Save the ones you like, then book a visit and we will have those exact lots ready to look at.
